A high-end builder not so high on its look.
Astoria Custom Homes is an award-winning, upscale, custom homebuilder. Though experts in building structures, what the owners really needed was to build the company’s brand. Astoria presented Guru with several marketing challenges: (1) The quality of the brand didn’t reflect the quality of the work. (2) The renovation division, Astoria Projects, lacked an appropriate and associated brand. (3) A new sub-company focused on building spec homes needed a separate brand. Guru got to work on the blueprints.
Three companies. Three brands. Triple the success.
The first priority was to develop a new umbrella brand that reflected the high-end quality of the company’s work and appropriately associated the various related brands. The new brand for Astoria Custom Homes elevated consumer perception about the company. Now it looked as high end as its homes. Astoria Projects, the renovation division, was appropriately renamed Astoria Renovations. This new brand played on the strength of the Astoria brand, but clearly identified itself as an associated renovation division. Lastly, the new spec-home company was named Carpenter Homes and branded with a clean, simple and stylish identity that similarly complemented the parent brand.

With strategically minded brands in place, Guru built web sites for each of these companies that would more accurately illustrate the quality of the work and encourage prospective customers to engage with the experts at Astoria. Designs with a heavy emphasis on beautiful homes and imagery now lure more consumers. After all, there’s no place like a pretty home.
